During my childhood days I am very scared of the name “UPMA”. I hate upma’s like anything. When I started cooking I love UPMA’s because it is the simplest and quickest one to make. I know only wheat upma called “gouthuma rava” in tamil ,white upma and Idli upma ( made with left over idli’s). After coming to US I learnt this bread upma. My daughter loves bread and chease but if I buy one packet after finishing 4-5 slices than expiry date comes and I used to throw the bread packet. To solve this problem when I browsed I came to know about Bread Upma. Now I am buying wheat bread packets for making healthy wheat bread upma for breakfast.

Cheese sandwich is simple and easy to make in a minute.
For kids
Take two bread slices toast it with ghee (your wish) buy form grocey store the square shaped slices cheese coming as a pack (eg singles). This cheese is available in almost all the grocery shops. Keep the cheese slice inbetween the two toasted bread slices. Cut diagonally and give your kids. They find it easy to hold and eat nicely.
My kid ,she even don’t want to toast the bread. She is 3 year old . She used to make her own sandwich and eat it. She will takeout cheese slice from refrigerator keep the slice inbetween bread slices and she will eat it.
You can aslo make variation in this. Buy hot dog buns. slice the butter stick ask your kid to open the hotdog bun (which has cut to open) and ask him/her to arrange the sliced butter sticks in straight line and him/her to close the bun and eat it. Since they are making they really enjoy this. I have seen this in my kid.

Bajji is the simplest snack we can make to have in the evenings. During winter season we really want something hot in the evening. I had so many varieties of bajji’s but for all the batter is same. Bread bajji is the onw which I used to have during my MCA. That was the first time (in hostel) where I had bread bajji. One lady used to bring in the afternoon and evening we have to rush for it. Whenever I make bread bajji’s I remember those pleasant memories. I had Chilli bajji for the first time in Kodaikannal when I was in 5th standard. National Nursery and Primary School in Madathukkulam is the school where I studied till my 5th grade.
Make Potato bajji, Onion bajji, Brinjal bajji, Cauliflower bajji, Applam bajji, Plaintain bajji/Vallakkai bajji, Bread bajji, Chilli bajji using same batter.
Ingredients for Batter
1. Besan Flour /Kadalamavu – 1 cup

Preparation of batter
1. Mix all the ingredients together well by adding little water so that it will be in idli/dasa batter consistency. This batter is sued for making different bajji’s.
Tips
1. If you want more crispy then you can add a teasppon of rice flour while making batter.
